Rear Fender and Headlight Bracket Day

Welded on a couple bungs to fender as well as punched a few holes. Also had the Wrench fab up a sweet headlight bracket.

Pulled the forks on the Iron, all I got is a bandsaw, file and sandpaper... Here goes nothin

XS Engine out

Pulled out the engine on the XS today, gonna clean it up a bit and install a boyer ignition

Jonesin' for spring.... or any good weather

Watching old videos, reading blogs, wrenching on our bikes.... Just looking forward to spring to light up the bikes and get back out there... Winter sucks.

All primed up and waitin for the black

Got the frame of the xs primed, this pic looks like a scene from Saw or something but it worked out really well. Kristen is going with a gloss black for the frame, battery box and wiring "oil tank". Should be hitting it this week, also putting in a order at 650central so the parts will be coming in as we get her back together... stay tuned, shit is gonna come together pretty quick.

To springer or not to springer...

Picked up this springer this week, now trying to decide whether i want to run it on this build. It looks awesome, just needs a bit of elbow grease to make her shine.

Avi and I took the hour long rain filled drive up to check out this shop Re Cycle.  Talked to the dudes there, super helpful, lots of cool old parts and manged to snag a wiring harness for the ironhead.

Oh yeah, also picked up a sweet 4 over springer... pics to come

Back to the Iron...

Got the tires and wheels back from getting mounted... finally starting to come together, will be putting the bars on tomorrow and then its time to get that fender mounted... Liking the looks of 2012 so far

It's gonna be a good year..

The little garage we started up a few months back is really starting to take shape. The bikes we are building (our first attempts) are coming along nicely and with any luck will be pissing off the neighbors pretty soon... Stay tuned..

Got the engine out..

Kristen and I got the engine out of the xs today, got her up on the bench ready for a sweet polish. Gonna make that rats nest of wiring in the ammo box make a little more sense too.. Also on the frame, gonna remove all the crap paint, clean up some ugly welds and get her all nice and glossy....
